About Me

My photo
Well I suppose I am or at least used to be like everybody else, sort of. Used to do the thing that society wants us to, The Rat Race. For years I dreamt about exotic locations after watching the travel channel, thinking that some day I would love to go their or do that. Until the beginning of this year (5 Jan 2010), it was not planned or a new year’s resolution, it just happened. I cancelled all my TV subscriptions and pulled out all cables, literally threw them away. After this I drove down to a local scuba centre and signed up for my first scuba course. Let us fast forward to today, I have quite my job sold my vehicle. What now? TRAVEL BABY, SCUBA TRAVEL!!!

Another slow day ...

Today started off with a client from Belgium who wanted to dive, of course we were too happy too assist him and got all set up and headed off to, The Tank and Seven Sisters dive site. Graham decided to stay dry and stay at the village. We had a nice 58min dive and headed back hoping to find more clients wanting to dive, but it was not meant to be. So after lunch and procrastinating for a bit with no clients in sight we decided to go for a dive at 15:45, got the gear and headed down to Rainbow Reef North. As the sun sets at 5pm we did not have much time, we only got in the water at 16:20 as Pedro lost the buckle for his fin strap and we had to make a MacGyver move to get him in the water, so this gave us only 40min to dive. This was more than enough time for us to do a 30m dive with nobody to guide or babysit, we loved it. As we exited the water the sun has just disappeared behind the mountains showing off the red skies, what a sight to see after a dive.
