About Me

My photo
Well I suppose I am or at least used to be like everybody else, sort of. Used to do the thing that society wants us to, The Rat Race. For years I dreamt about exotic locations after watching the travel channel, thinking that some day I would love to go their or do that. Until the beginning of this year (5 Jan 2010), it was not planned or a new year’s resolution, it just happened. I cancelled all my TV subscriptions and pulled out all cables, literally threw them away. After this I drove down to a local scuba centre and signed up for my first scuba course. Let us fast forward to today, I have quite my job sold my vehicle. What now? TRAVEL BABY, SCUBA TRAVEL!!!

I had fun today ..

What a way to start the day, Pedro was back and ready to get wet. We had 3 customers each for 2 dives. This meant that Graham that has a bit of a cold would stay at the village and keep himself busy with daily duties.

Here on the left we have Stephane Veschembes from Bordeaux, France he is a travel agent with Nouvelles Frontieres (TUI) so if you need to book a trip look him up. In the centre we have Mahdi a local and a friend of Arab Divers and on the right we have Simen Askjer from Oslo, Norway and he works for TV2 in Norway, you might have seen his work.

This was a friendly bunch of people, and we had a real good time while preparing for the first dive.

We had so much fun we almost forgot to go diving, not really we will never let that happen.

Just another picture of us hanging out before the dive.
And yet another 1 told you we had fun.

Me getting hydrated before the dive.

Unfortunately Mahdi had to go and do some work after the 1st dive and Simen could not do the 2nd so after a SI of 1h20min we only took Stephane for the 2nd dive. When we returned to the village Obada was getting ready to go dive with 2 of his friends, this was going to be a deep dive (65m) so they had to prepare properly. Stephane will join us again tomorrow for another 2 dives.

Dinner was served and we got 3 cold ones from our fridge, and did we deserve it.

Today a German woman was attacked and killed by a shark whiles snorkelling at Sharm, our condolences goes out to her family.
