About Me

My photo
Well I suppose I am or at least used to be like everybody else, sort of. Used to do the thing that society wants us to, The Rat Race. For years I dreamt about exotic locations after watching the travel channel, thinking that some day I would love to go their or do that. Until the beginning of this year (5 Jan 2010), it was not planned or a new year’s resolution, it just happened. I cancelled all my TV subscriptions and pulled out all cables, literally threw them away. After this I drove down to a local scuba centre and signed up for my first scuba course. Let us fast forward to today, I have quite my job sold my vehicle. What now? TRAVEL BABY, SCUBA TRAVEL!!!

Weather is bad (AZAP) ... NO DIVING TODAY.

During the night the wind picked up from the south, why is this bad?
South winds blowing in swells from the deep sea makes diving almost imposable.
We took a drive down to have a look at conditions as we had a customer keen to go diving. I informed him that conditions might not be suitable for diving and that we might cancel all the dives for the day.

After arriving at the most suitable site and seeing the conditions I called it, NO DIVING TODAY, other diving operators also packed up and cancelled the planned diving.

Azap is the term the locals use to describe this weather.

Even the jetty is closed; as I tried to go on to take some pictures I was told not to go on be Marine Park officials.

This is the roughest I have seen the see since I have been here.

Let us see what the rest of the day has to offer. Pedro is already sitting back with a book and Graham is looking deep into his computers eyes. What to do...
